The EM®-X Pink Ceramic Tubes for revitalizing water. They are fired at low temperatures (approx. 800–900°C). Therefore, they become extremely porous and, as a result, offer a high capacity to adsorb and remove harmful substances from the water, including chemicals and even chlorine. Furthermore, as a direct consequence of this process, the treated water becomes lighter, smoother, and more pleasant to the touch.

An 80g pack treats approximately 80 liters of water, and ideally, you should replace them after 6 months. Consequently, the usage cycle remains simple and predictable.

Properties of ceramics

The minerals used in traditional ceramics are clay, silica, and feldspar. Therefore, the ceramic remains inorganic, without metals, and does not react chemically. After being molded, it hardens by firing at high temperatures and subsequently becomes harder than steel. Thus, it is an extremely stable and reliable material.

Low-temperature fired pipes (pink – 800–900°C) become extremely porous, similar to unglazed porcelain or pumice. Furthermore, they are lightweight, possess hygroscopic properties, and, due to the lower temperature, can crack.

On the other hand, tubes fired at high temperatures (greyed – 1200–1300°C) become a viscous liquid during firing and, after cooling, bond in an extremely hard and dense manner. Compared to the pinked ones, this second type exhibits less porosity, greater density, and less fragility.

Cleaning and storage

It is possible that small ceramic particles may detach from the surface during initial use. Therefore, before regular use, we recommend boiling the tubes twice. This will reduce this initial effect and, at the same time, maintain optimal performance from the start.
