EM® 1- Concentrate of Effective Microorganisms
Prepared IN 1 It is a concentrate of Effective Microorganisms that you must activate in the fermentation process, using a valuable substrate in the form of sugar cane molasses and warm water at a temperature of 35-37 degrees Celsius. Once activated, the preparation obtained can be used for plant care, fermentation of organic waste and soil conditioning.
Action:
Firstly, EM 1 Preparation restores the natural fertility of the soil. In addition, it stimulates the immunity of animals and plants, preventing unwanted decomposition processes. Finally, it accelerates the decomposition of organic matter, promoting a more efficient natural cycle.
Use:
You can use the product in aqueous solution, either in the form of sprays, watering, nebulization or direct doses. Additionally, it can also be used as a herbal ferment, transforming it into a probiotic drink that brings health benefits.
Composition of EM® 1- Concentrate of Effective Microorganisms:
EM® 1 contains water, lactic acid bacteria, phototrophic bacteria, yeast and sugar cane molasses.
Multiplication Instructions:
EM 1® preparation contains dormant microorganisms, which need food (molasses) and warm water at 35-37°C to become active. After this, fermentation begins, creating EM A (active).
Therefore, to prepare the solution, use the ratio of 1:1:18 (EM-1® Preparation: Sugarcane Molasses: Water).
To prepare 1L of Active EM:
- 50 ml of EM® 1- Concentrate of Effective Microorganisms
- 50 ml of sugar cane molasses
- 900 ml warm water (35-37°C)
This combination will generate 1L of Active EM after fermentation.
First, pour some warm water (35-37°C) into a glass or plastic bottle. Then add the molasses and mix well (you can dissolve the molasses in warm water first, in a pan). After that, add the EM 1®, shake the bottle well and top up with more warm water. Then, seal the bottle lightly or use a fermentation tube (like those used for wine).
After that, place the container in a dark, warm place.
If the container is closed, open it once a day to release accumulated gases. After 1-2 days, fermentation will begin and within 7 days the EM A Preparation will be active. Therefore, you must use the multiplied microorganisms within 14 days to ensure maximum effectiveness.
Storage of EM® 1- Concentrate of Effective Microorganisms:
It is recommended to transfer the preparation to a bottle with an airtight seal and store it in a dark and cool place, ensuring that it remains effective.
Practical Observations:
Always use good quality drinking water. In addition, the correctly multiplied Active EM Preparation should be dark brown in color, liquid and transparent, with a slight acidic taste and yeasty odor. In addition, the pH of the preparation should be between 3.40 and 3.80.
